Enabling Young Mothers to take care of themselves and giving  them the opportunity and skills to bond with their babies

We support, guide, educate and advise parents in providing, demonstrating and maintaining safe care for their babies/children.

The Mother and Baby accommodation would like the placements to be an experience to help the young parent care for their child to an agreeable standard set out by all agencies involved, which will help form the basics of parenthood and safeguard all children from risk.

SP Homes provides an individual support plan that gives consideration to all those areas described as “eligible support activities” in the government’s white paper Valuing People and the Supporting People Strategy. Using these support activities as a guide the person-centred Plan is developed to assist service users to achieve competence in the essential areas of independent living.
